Visitor Participation

We invite guests for a visit where outdoor recreational activities combine with spa facilities, wholesome organic meals, and the possibility of gaining useful, practical skills, while assisting the foundation in our mission.

Voluntourism Opportunities

LEAF is currently engaged in several community outreach and environmental preservation projects in which visitors are welcome to participate (mínimum 3 day commitment).  Visits to La Confluencia may, thus, be scheduled to combine volunteer opportunities, workshop attendance, and recreational activities.

A listing of current projects may be viewed at Voluntourism Projects

WWOOFing

La Confluencia farm hosts WWOOFers each summer season (Nov.-Mar.) Candidates willing to make two-month commitments are given priority. Projects include vegetable garden planting and harvesting, food preservation, grain harvesting and threshing, sustainable wood harvesting/milling, and trail construction and maintenance, among others. You can download an application here.

Workshops

Workshops are generally training courses in practical self sufficiency skills such as bio-intensive minifarming, food preservation, alternative energy, and sustainable construction. Courses vary in length from 1-7 days and include a variety of accomodation options: tent camping, albergue, or lodge rooms.  For more information and current schedule of offerings please go to Workshops & Events.
